Library Cards

Library cards are free to those people who reside or own property in Adams Township. If you live outside of Adams Township and not in another library district, you may purchase a card for $63 per year or $11 per two month period. When you apply for a card, you will need a picture ID and proof of your current address.

Book Loan Process

A card holder has a limit of 6 books/Audio Cassetts, 4 magazines, and 2 videos. Books, Cassetts, and magazines check out for two weeks. Videos check out for three days. All items may be renewed one time by phone. Overdue fines are $1 per video per day or 10¢ per day per book/item.

Videos

Choose from drama, action, British humor, travel, documentaries, or children's films. Check out limit is two selections with a check out time of three days. All videos are rated no higher than PG13.

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary loan is available through all statewide libraries. If we do not have a book in our collection, it can be ordered from another library. There is no charge for this service if the library is in the state of Indiana. Out of state libraries may charge a fee to borrow books.

Newspapers

Our current listing includes: Parke County Sentinel, Daily Clintonian, Terre Haute Tribune Star, The Indianapolis Star, The Wall Street Journal, and USA Today. Issues are kept for one week. The Parke County Sentinel is available on microfilm/CD after the first of the following year.

Accessibility

We offer handicapped accessible entry from the rear parking lot with a lift to the second floor. Our public restrooms are handicapped accessible. We offer a visual aid reader, Large Print books and books on tape. If you need further assistance, please let us know.
